Announces Prestige Appointment of
New Technology Executive, Dr. Seongjin Lee

BEIJING, October 24, 2024: Galaxy Trade and Technology International is pleased to announce the appointment of Doctor Seongjin Lee to serve as Associate Chief Scientist. In this position, he will assist Galaxy in both assessing and implementing new magnesium technologies, including alloy design and battery development.

Dr. Lee is based in Busan, Korea, and will work closely with Galaxy’s Chief Scientist, Professor Yang Yuansheng **1, formerly with the Institute of Metal Research at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, based in Shandong Province, and with Charlie Gay **2, former Deputy Director of the National Renewable Energy Lab at the U.S. Department of Energy, based in Southern California.

Doctor Lee graduated from Jeonbuk National University **3 in Jeonju, Republic of Korea, with a degree in Civil Engineering. He lectured at Jeonbuk in traffic engineering, with the Department of Civil Engineering, and obtained a Master’s Degree and Doctorate in transportation engineering from the University of Seoul, Department of Urban Engineering. For fifteen years we was a lecturer in civil engineering at Wongkwang University, Howon University and Jeonju University.

Dr. Lee is currently researching basalt composite materials, and preparing related production facilities. He also participates in all-solid magnesium-based battery research. Another focus for his extraordinary inventive talent is environmental recovery and purification, using specially-bred insects.

With Dr. Lee’s support, Galaxy will remain at the forefront of multi-industry magnesium applications and supply, delivering magnesium through our mine-to-customer direct supply chain, and developing our new relationship with Baowu Magnesium **4 , a unit of Baowu Steel, the world’s largest steelmaker.”
